Blasting cap protectors are a small rubber tube that's open at both ends. Engineers rolled them onto blastings caps to protect them from moisture before blowing things up.

For sale is a box containing four sticks with twentyfive protectors per stick. The boxes are reproductions and the sticks with caps are originals that I got from France on reverse lend/lease.
